Dubai Entry Visa

The types of Dubai visa depends on the purpose for visiting (transit, vacations or work), the length of stay and the nationality. A valid passport for at least 3 months before the arrival, 2 passport-size color photographs and a health insurance is needed.

Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD) issues the visas for people entering Dubai (mostly at Dubai Airport). Opening hours are from 8 am to 2 pm. Sunday to Thursday excluding public holidays. Fridays and Saturdays are weekend holidays.

No health certificates are required to enter Dubai (except for resident visa). It is allowed to carry cigarettes (2000); cigars (400); tobacco (2 kgs); alcohol (non-Islamics only) 2 liters of spirits or 2 liters of wine, and perfumes. But pornographic material and drugs are a criminal offence. There arenít restrictions on the export and import of local or foreign currencies, too; however the maximum undeclared cash a passenger can carry is Dhs. 40,000.

Be aware that nationals of Israel and travelers whose passport bear Israeli stamps are not allowed to enter the UAE.
