Parks and Gardens in Dubai

Dubai offers a wide variety of excellent amusement parks and gardens to their visitors, which provide diverse entertainment facilities that may include playgrounds, swimming pools, camel and pony rides, picturesque gardens, restaurants and cafeterias, among many others services.

The parks and gardens are ideal places for a family holiday providing a respite from the urban life. These Dubaian parks and gardens are attracting millions of visitors from the entire world, due to their elevated quality and the availability of numerous activities.

Despite that the largest and best-implemented parks are private; there are a significant number of well-maintained public parks, recommended for family's picnics and rest in a natural environment. Some of the best parks in Dubai are:

Creekside Park

Creekside Park Located between Al Maktoum and Al Garhoud bridges in the heart of Bur Dubai, it is one of the largest waterfront parks in the city and the most popular recreation center.

Creekside Park is a perfect place for getting rid of fatigue and stress. The park include several entertaining activities like abra rides and dhow cruises along the creek, cable car, a park train, bicycle rental, jogging tracks, restaurants, barbecue areas, beaches, fishing piers, children’s games and amphitheatres.

Moreover, the park counts with an area of 96 ha of lawn and botanical gardens hosting 280 plant species, a desert garden with the traditional irrigation system called "fallaj" and lots of beautiful flower gardens. Tel: +971 4 336 7633.

Jumeirah Beach Park

Jumeirah Beach Park Sited in the upscale Jumeirah district next to the main road; it was the first beach park in Dubai and is still very popular among tourists and local residents, especially on weekends.

The park covers an area of 12 ha and is equipped with numerous facilities that include sunbathing areas, children's play zones, barbecue sites, restaurants, volleyball and jetty areas fronting on to the beach, showers and swimming areas and a range of water sports. A helipad and lifeguard service are also available on duty for safety reasons.

Entrance fee is Dhs. 2 (US$ 0.50) per person and Dhs. 20 (US$ 5.50). Opening hours are between 8 am and 9 pm daily. Tel: +971 4 349 2555.

Safa Park

Al Safa Park Sited between the Sheikh Zayed Rd and Al Wasl Rd, it is one of the most antique and popular parks of Dubai. Al Safa Park is a 1 km-long green park divided into sections and play zones that provide numerous facilities for entertainments.

Principal attractions of the park are playing cricket and traveling around the splendor of lake –which has fountains and waterfalls, on hired paddle boats. For kids there are available a video game parlor, ferries wheel rides, bumper cars rides, trampolines and a mini-city that includes small scale roads, traffic lights and signs.

The park has also 3 tennis courts, basketball, volleyball and football pitches, barbecue sites and large expanses of grassy areas with tiny rolling hills to enjoy, plus a dedicated track for joggers, a large restaurant and some fast-foods. Park Description
Al Mamzar Park Situated in the Al Hamriya area, along the striking Mamzar beach, it is a 106 ha-long park with countless trees and greenery that hosts play zones, children’s games, a park train, barbecue and picnic areas, food kiosks, an amphitheatre, swimming pools for Dhs. 5-10 (US$ 1-3) and chalets for rent (day use only) at a cost of Dhs. 150- 200 (US$ 41-55).
The entry fee is Dhs. 5 (US$ 1) per person or Dhs. 30 (US$ 8) per car. Opening hours are from 8 am to 11 pm daily. Tel: +971 4 296 6201.

Mushrif Park It is Dubai’s largest natural forest park at 525 ha, situated on Al Awir Rd (9 km from the airport). Mushrif Park is home to Scoops Owl, Orphean Warbler, Hoopoe, and Ethiopian hedgehog among others species.
The park is also equipped with many facilities like swimming pools, fountain and lakes, a miniature train, children's play zones, camel and pony rides, sports playground, barbecue areas and the stunning International Garden Area that boasts miniature architectural samples from diverse countries.

Zabeel Park Situated at Bur Dubai, it is a modern 51 ha park that features man-made lakes, ponds, jogging track, sports facilities, a cricket pitch, food courts, an amphitheatre, exhibition centers and a club house. ZA'Abeel Park boasts also gorgeous landscaping with verdant grass.
