Almost all commercial and public places of Dubai have a section specially dedicated to children. Malls, parks, restaurants, galleries and other locations have implemented leisure areas where kids can have fun.

Due to Dubai belongs to a Muslim country; there are special days on the week just for women and children (which vary on each place), according to the religious traditions. Among the most important centers for children’s recreation are:

Children’s City

Situated at Dubai Creek Park on Bur Dubai, it is a 7700 sq-m (82, 890 sq-ft) educational park inaugurated in 2002 that offer a ample range of activities and attractions to kids. Children’s City emphasizes on education, trying to make learning a less awkward and more enjoyable process.

A regular visit takes the kids -between the age of 2 and 15 years, on a trip through the human body, nature, international cultures, science and space. All the exhibits are in Arabic and English, and are available for individual children, school groups and families.

The amusement park also offer facilities such as souvenir shop, a large cafe, first aid rooms, a prayer room, touch screen computers and awesome sights of the creek. There are special facilities for disabled children.

Wonderland

Located at Al Gharhoud on Bur Dubai (close to Dubai Creek Park), it is a 18 ha family-amusement park that houses numerous aquatic attractions that include speed slides, surf hills, wave runners, bumper boats, twister, a pleasant cruise and fantastic shows like the water mist show and water cinema.

WonderLand is a theme park with an attractive Caribbean setting, separated into 3 areas: Main Street, Theme Park and Splashland dedicated exclusively for kids. The complex includes excellent restaurants offering food of Dubai and other international dishes.

With a capacity for 8,000 people, the park can take the kids to have limitless entertaining in the waters of the swimming pools in Splashland. Wonderland is open on all week, except on Sundays. Opening hours for SplashLand & Main Street from 10 am to 7 pm, and for Theme Park from 4 pm to 10 pm. The entry fee is Dhs. 40 (US$ 11) for adults and Dhs. 25 (US$ 7) for children. Center	Description
Magic Planet	Sited the giant Deira City Centre mall on Al Garhoud Bridge Rd, it is a large indoor complex designed to kids' entertainment. The center houses a captivating set of electronic games, 11-screen CineStar cinema, a 10-pin bowling alley, tiny golf course, carousels, a singular children's hairdresser, a superb crawling bungle jungle and the fabolous Camel's Adventure Zone. Parents may leave their children when they go for shopping in the mall. The tickets are reasonably priced, and the fun center is open on all days of the year from 6 pm to 9 pm. Tel: +971 4 295 4333.

Encounter Zone	IPlaced on the on the 3rd floor of the Wafi City Mall, it is an excellent amusement park for family entertainment, specially dedicated for kids. The principal attractions of the center are the Crystal Maze, a thrilling enclosure; and the Two Separate Worlds - Galactica, which offers video and arcade games and Lunarland, which is a nice play area with flying spaceships. Other fun features include the Horror Chamber, a virtual reality rollercoaster, an indoor roller-blading, the Komet and numerous 3D films shown all over the day. Dubailand	Expected to be opened by 2009 and covering an area of 279 million sq-m (3 billion sq-ft), it is the huge Middle East’s Disney World and the biggest theme-amusement park in the world. Aside from the countless entertainment zones, the complex will also include tourism, real estate, luxury hospitality, and retail areas. Placed on Emirates Rd, the complex is set to be the ultimate fun and leisure destination in the world that will be divided into seven themed zones, called "Worlds": Attractions & Experience World, Retail and Entertainment World, Themed Leisure and Vacation World, Eco-Tourism World, Sports and Outdoor World, Downtown and Science and Planetariums. Dubailand construction will be completed by 2020 and is projected to receive 15 million tourists by 2010.
